Baby Led Feeding Blueberry and Coconut Swirl Smoothie Berries and Compote

This is a really simple recipe but I wanted to add it in because I will be using it many recipes over the next few months 🙂 Blueberry compote tastes so deliciously sweet and they work spread over oatmeal, yogurt and granola or in a morning smoothie.

What goes in...

  • 600g blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoon chia seeds
  •  

How to make it...

  1. Add blueberries to a pan with water. Bring to the boil then cover with a lid and simmer on a very low heat for 10 minutes.
  2. Use a potato masher or even a fork to mash them up completely, then add the chia seeds and stir well.
  3. Pour into a jar to use for muffins, smoothies and lots more recipes to come!
  • HELPFUL TIP - Freezing

    If you are not planning on using the compote within a week, pour into an ice cube tray and freeze! Then tip into your breakfast smoothie or defrost for your breakfast morning muffins!
