Last year I put together The Ultimate List of Baby and Toddler Finger Foods, including all the recipes that my little guy loved from 6 months through to being a toddler. It was so popular that I’ve refreshed it for 2019 and included even more delicious finger food recipes that your baby and the whole family will enjoy. As always, I’ve done my best to choose and create low salt and refined sugar free options.
Remember to always include the original finger food, soft fresh vegetables and fruit into your babies diet every day!
Mexican Quinoa Bites
This recipe is a yummy variation of baby led weaning tuna quinoa bites (which you can find here). Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) is so amazing for all the family. It is a complete protein meaning that it contains all nine essential amino acids which most other grains lack. It is high in Vitamins B & E and is also a great source of fibre. And, if that wasn’t enough it is also a great source of calcium, magnesium and manganese. Quinoa is the least allergenic of all grains so if your little one is intolerant to grains this is a great alternative.
Salmon and Pea Cakes
These little salmon and pea cakes are absolutely delicious and are a great way to use up leftover salmon too.
Super Healthy Cookies are here! These deliciously soft cookies are made using a very surprising ingredient – the humble chickpea! It took a few tries to get them to the right consistency but these definitely work and my children devoured them so I know we’re onto a winner.
Rainbow Omelette Cakes Recipe
This baked omelette recipe is an easy recipe for kids to cook too, as there are no hot frying pans involved – you simply pour your mixture into silicone muffin cups, pop in the oven and bake. You can also sneak in lots of vegetables.
