Egg-Free Baby Led Weaning Banana Bread
Egg-free baby-led weaning can seem really hard at first. With time, however, you will begin to learn alternatives to many traditional ingredients like eggs, dairy, and nuts. This egg-free banana bread for baby-led weaning can be made in a few different ways depending on your preferences and your little one’s allergies.

Bananas
Bananas are probably my favourite ingredient ever! First of all, they are naturally very sweet. I always strive for the least amount of sugar possible but still want a nice sweetness in many of my recipes. Bananas add just the right amount of natural sweetness without overpowering other ingredients. Second, bananas can be used to replace eggs when making baked goods like egg-free baby-led weaning banana bread. You can typically swap one small-sized banana for each egg in a recipe.

Seed Butter vs. Peanut Butter
For this recipe, I used creamy peanut butter but it doesn’t have to be that way! If you need to be nut-free, you can use most types of seed butter as well. I have my own recipe for sunshine butter I like to make at home, but something store-bought should work just as well in this egg-free banana bread for baby-led weaning.

What common allergens are in this recipe?
This recipe is written egg-free, but it does contain peanuts. If you want to make it nut-free, just use an alternative to peanut butter like sunflower butter. Additionally, this recipe contains milk. Milk can be swapped out in most recipes for just about any milk alternative like almond milk, oat milk, or soy milk. Finally, I have used regular flour so this recipe contains gluten as well. Although I have not tried it myself, a 1 to 1 gluten-free flour may work here as well.
