Little Baby Pizza Bites and 3 Adult Pizzas
My kids all time favourite meal is pizza and they have done it all from pizza parties to cold pizza slices for picnics. Pizza is a brilliant little meal for your little ones if you make them at home as you know what is going in, you can pack them with delicious vegetables and flavours and they taste so delicious that you’ll never buy a frozen pizza again.
Making dough and putting pizzas together are a huge part of the fun especially when there are kids involved and it really is a great thing to do on a rainy day, they also are fantastic as a party food. My husband and are are very picky about the pizza we eat and constantly rate each others slice. I have to give credit to him for the sauce and this is by far the best, quickest pizza sauce I have ever tasted.
This recipe makes 3 adult sized pizzas and 24 baby bite pizzas.

Little Baby Pizza Bites and 3 Adult Pizzas
Ingredients
- 1 Cups Warm Water
- 7 g Active Yeast
- 2 Teaspoons Maple Syrup
- 2 Cups Strong White Flour
- 150 g Unsalted Tomato Purée 3/4 Tube
- 1 Clove Garlic Crushed
- 4 Tablespoons Water
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 Large Onion Sliced
- 2 Handfulls Baby Leaf Spinach Finely Chopped for your Babies Pizza
- 10 Button Mushrooms Sliced
- 2 Red Bell Peppers for Adults Pizzas
- 2 Packs Buffalo Mozzarella or vegan cheese
Instructions
-
To make your doughAdd the warm water to a jug then stir in yeast and maple syrup and whisk until fully combined. Leave aside for about 10 minutes the yeast activates. It should be frothy on top.Sieve your flour into a large bowl and make a well in the middle of it. You can also use a food processor with a dough hook (I like the workout so I do it the harder way).Slowly add your water and yeast mix and stir in using your hands (or dough hook) until the flour and water are fully combined and you are left with a dough.Turn it out onto a well floured counter top and knead until it becomes soft and springy. This takes a good 10 minutes but it is actually quite therapeutic. It’s also great fun to do with kids. When your finished kneading you need to let it proove. Place your dough in a floured bowl covered with a towel or cling film in a warm place for an hour. It should double in size (while your dough is prooving you can make your sauce and get the fillings ready).Turn your dough back out onto a floured surface and knead it again but only for a few moments this time, you want to remove the air from it.I cut the dough into 4 parts – 3 are for adults pizzas and 1 is for the 24 baby bite pizzas.
-
To make your sauceAdd all of your ingredients to a bowl and whisk together.
-
To assemble your pizzas
-
For the baby pizzasTake roughly a cherry tomato size of dough and roll out into a flat shape, place into your mini muffin tin, making sure the sides come right up.Add a teaspoon of the sauce to each one (Because the dough is springy I add my sauce to each one as I am going along as it helps stop the dough from springing back up). Do this for all 24 little pizzas.Add a little spinach and chopped mushroom into each one and then top with a tiny piece of mozzarella cheese.Bake at 200ºC for about 12-15mins or until the dough is cooked underneath.
-
For the adult pizzasRoll each of the adult pizzas out as flat as you can. If you can do this without a rolling pin i’m super impressed!Put your dough onto a baking tray or pizza stone, then add a couple tablespoons of sauce, sprinkle with toppings and then place the mozzarella cheese around it.Bake at the hottest setting in your oven for 10-12mins or until the pizza is cooked underneath and no longer doughy.
