Mango Blissballs Amazing No-Bake Bites for Baby Led Weaning
What is it about no-bake bites? I’ll tell you what it is for me, I haven’t made a recipe that my kids didn’t devour yet! Maybe it’s the delicately sweet taste or the soft and chewy texture. Whatever it is, these no-bake mango bites were a huge hit at my house.
No-bake bites may be one of the easiest baby-led weaning snacks ever invented. First of all, there is no cooking required. Secondly, as the instructions state, you basically throw everything into the blender or food processor and blend well. Once all your ingredients are blended well (and nuts or seeds are chopped very well for babies) you just scoop the mixture out and roll it into a nice little ball. That’s it…
If you are making the nut-free version of these no-bake bites, you can use sunflower butter. You can find sunflower butter in most stores but if you’d like to make your own I have an easy sunshine butter recipe here.
Of course, as you can see I’ve dipped mine in yummy dairy-free chocolate. You can skip that step if you’re not big on chocolate or you’re short on time. I like to dip mine because then I can dip them in coconut (or other pretty things like my sugar-free rainbow sprinkles). Then all you need to do is cover and give them a few hours in the fridge!
No-bake balls should be stored in the refrigerator in an air-tight container. If they are not sealed tightly they can sometimes dry out or pick up other flavours in the fridge. They usually last about 4-5 days when kept cold, however, if your house is like mine, they may not make it past the initial cooling period…
This recipe is sponsored by Dunnes Stores and is part of my healthy food series for kids. You can find all of the ingredients in-store including their amazing cocoa powder.
I can’t wait to see what you think of these healthy Mango Blissballs! If you try it and love it share your photo on Instagram and tag #babyledfeeding so I can see your amazing creations!
Lots of love,
Aileen xoxo
