Baby Friendly Turkish Kebabs
There are so many reasons to love kebabs: they’re classic, they’re delicious, the word is super cute in toddler speak, and they make a fantastic baby led weaning dinner to suit the entire family. Little hands will have so much fun with this recipe—it’s a finger food of champs! It also freezes beautifully, so you can double it up and save some for later! You’ll have a fast, nutritious meal ready for a busy night, which is score 10 prepared-parent points for you!
Before you begin (mom-tip), chop, mince, quarter, slice, and crush all of your ingredients, then put them to the side. After that, combine your mince mixture and mould it into ten toddler-sized sausage shapes before gently skewering. If you’ve doubled up for another baby led weaning dinner, this is a great time to store the extras in a freezer bag so they’re ready when you are.
This recipe only takes ten minutes to bake, so the moment you pop your kebabs in the oven, create the Greek yogurt sauce. It’s the ideal blend of cream and tart, and all you need is a bowl and spoon! When the kebabs are done, wholemeal wrap them nicely with a little lettuce, tomatoes, sweet onion, and a drizzle of yogurt dressing. There you have it! A lovely baby led weaning finger food, as well as a nutritious dinner that will please everyone at the table!
