Two-Bite Baby Friendly Tacos
Summer is upon us, and when you’re looking for kid friendly bbq food, it’s not always easy to find something that kids like and is easy for them to eat. While we grownups quite like the taste of charred meat (it wouldn’t be a bbq without it), kids aren’t the biggest fans and can find it quite off-putting. Kids want fun food, and we want recipe that are quick, easy and healthy. These Kid-Friendly Tacos with Coleslaw make for the perfect kids’ party food and are a great way to add spice to your little one’s diet.
Babies are never too young to learn about good taste, so why feed them bland foods? Babies use their taste buds and their mouths to discover and explore food, it is a crucial part of baby development and should be encouraged. Adding herbs and spices to your baby’s diet is a wonderful way to develop your baby’s taste buds. Little ones enjoy engaging all the senses and giving them exciting food is the best way to keep your baby interested in food. You don’t want to overdo it with spices when they are little, so don’t go for hot spicy food but food with plenty of flavours.
These two-bite (for grownups) tacos are super cute and are the perfect healthy dinner or party food for summer. Kids love adding their own veggies, and they are zero fuss. This is a Dunnes Stores recipe and the ingredients include crushed garlic which is full of vitamins and minerals and has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties helping to fight infection and to cleanse the system; coriander which is a flavorful antioxidant and digestive aid; and ground cinnamon which is a sweet spice with warming effects that aid digestion and circulation, as well as offering a high dose of antioxidants.
The coleslaw includes red cabbage, apples and carrots which kids love, and they can add their own too, which makes it even better. Then you can serve your tacos with avocado, cheese and sour cream.
