Mini muffins are the perfect size for little hands and the most ideal food to start your baby weaning journey. These were one of the very first foods I ever fed to Oscar (my little munchkin) when he was only 6 months old. I absolutely love muffins for baby led weaning breakfast (or lunch or snack or dinner or anytime). They offer an ideal, simple base for almost any food you’d like to introduce to your little one’s diet, and they’re a perfectly sized, healthy finger food that allows tiny hands to eagerly explore mealtime.
Can you freeze baby friendly muffins?
Mini muffins are a brilliant freezer food idea, you can make ahead and just defrost as needed. Each little baby friendly muffin is a perfect portion for a baby and a couple of them are an ideal toddler snack on the go. With each batch making around 24 mini muffins these are easy batch cook and stock up for when you need a quick and easy snack solution. Apple Cinnamon Sugar Free Baby Friendly Muffins
These beautifully soft and moist Apple Cinnamon and Raisin Muffins are surprisingly sweet, but they contain no added sugar—it’s all in the fruit! I often get asked for healthy baby led feeding breakfast ideas and as Mum of 3 I know what a struggle breakfast time can be. I like to make a double batch because these muffins freeze really well and defrost really quickly too! Just pop the amount you need into the oven and reheat until soft the entire way through.
