Since my son decided to go vegetarian I have been experimenting with more meat free and vegan options. There are so many great vegan recipe for kids, and adults, out there and just because the recipe don’t contain any animal products certainly doesn’t mean that they are lacking in taste and flavour. "Baby-Led-Feeding-Recipe-Curried-Butternut-Squash-Soup-2"

Vegan Butternut Squash Soup

This is a recipe for butternut squash soup that you have to save in your bookmarks – or even better press print and make it today! It is a great vegan baby food and works well if you make a double batch and freeze in little zip-lock bag portions, perfect for busy days. Another great tip is to store in a mini muffin tin so you have little baby sized portions on hand always! When they are frozen, pop them out and place into freezer bags then label. When you come home from work at 6pm and your baby is REALLY hungry and can’t wait for food (which was always the case in our house), you can pop a little portion into a bowl and straight into the microwave. They defrost in less than 5 minutes! Serve with a little brown bread to soak it up and place it in front of your little one then let them get to work.

"Korma-Recipe-Images2"

Korma (With a Vegan Option)

As you are all probably aware, my 12 year old son is vegetarian (and my husband is solidarity), however, Dylans favourite food in the ENTIRE world is korma. My korma .This is a great dish to make into a vegan one and so easy too. Replace the Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt and replace the chicken with tofu. To cook the tofu, just coat in cornflour before frying in a pan with a little rapeseed oil over a medium heat. Once cooked leaved aside until the sauce is cooked, then add at the very end. This keeps the tofu lovely and crispy and helps it to stay together.
