A super quick brown bread recipe that kids love! This no yeast bread is packed full of goodness from seeds to oats and is delicious as a healthy snack for kids.
Add the sunflower and pumpkin seeds to a pestle and mortar and grind down slightly so that they are still rough but not whole. It makes it easier for little mouths to eat.
Add all the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.
Make a well in the middle and pour in the buttermilk.
Stir until the entire mixture is covered in the liquid.
Line a loaf tin with parchment paper and then pour your mixture in and spread evenly all around. I tap the bottom of the tin a few times on the counter to release any air bubbles.
Bake in the oven for 50mins. If you stick a skewer into the centre it should come out clean.
When you take the bread out of the oven wrap in a clean tea-towel until the bread is cooled. This is important for little ones as it prevents the crust from going too hard.

Recipe Notes & Tips
This freezes really well. I usually make 4 loafs at the same time. So hand to keep in the freezer.
