This is no trick, you are going to LOVE these chocolate mousse pots, one of my perfect Halloween Party Food ideas for kids.

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180ºC.
  • Add the coconut milk, dates and cocoa powder to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into ramekins or small serving glasses, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours until set.
  • To make the cookies, add the oat flour, peanut butter and maple syrup to a bowl and mix until fully combined.
  • Remove 8 tablespoons of the mixture and shape these into headstones. Then place onto a baking tray.
  • Add the cocoa powder to the remaining oat mixture and mix well until it turns chocolatey. Then shape into cookies and place onto a baking tray.
  • Bake the cookies for 15 minutes, then leave to cool fully. Write RIP using melted chocolate on the gravestone cookies.
  • To serve the pots, break the chocolate cookies on top of the mousse, then drizzle over any remaining melted chocolate.
  • Add a headstone to each cup then serve
