Method

  • Pre-heat oven to 180ºC.
  • Add the flour and yogurt to a bowl and stir well until it forms into a dough.
  • Take a small piece of the dough and roll into a circle, then tear off a little of the mozzarella and push inside the dough. Press around the base to completely cover, then place onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Repeat until all the dough is used.
  • Pour the olive oil into a bowl and stir in the crushed garlic (or garlic paste). Brush over the top of the dough balls, then bake in the oven for 15 minutes until they are browned outside.
  • While the dough balls are cooking, add the tomato puree, olive oil, garlic, and water to a bowl and stir well.
  • The dough balls can be served 2 ways – place the dip on the side and let everyone dip themselves, or use a kids medicine syringe to inject sauce in the middle of the dough balls. Super fun!
  • Serve with a sprinkle of basil and the remaining pizza sauce.
