This healthy Blueberry sauce tastes so deliciously sweet and they work spread over oatmeal, yogurt and granola or in a morning smoothie.

Ingredients


Method

  • Add blueberries to a pan with water. Bring to the boil then cover with a lid and simmer on a very low heat for 10 minutes.
  • Use a potato masher or even a fork to mash them up completely, then add the chia seeds and stir well.
  • Pour into a jar to use for muffins, smoothies and lots more recipes to come!

Recipe Notes & Tips

If you are not planning on using the compote within a week, pour into an ice cube tray and freeze! Then tip into your breakfast smoothie or defrost for your breakfast morning muffins!
