I'm a huge fan of spiralizing veggies but be under no illusion! Spiralized veggies taste nothing like noodles or spaghetti. They taste like vegetables because they are vegetables. 🌱🍏🥕🍠🥒⁠

They are, however, a super way to serve veggies to your baby! ⁠
1️⃣ They take less time to cook so retain much more of their nutritious goodness.⁠
2️⃣ They are really easy for your baby to pick up.⁠
3️⃣ When cooked they are soft enough to squash between your finger and thumb.⁠
4️⃣ It's a safe way to give your baby harder veggies like carrots or parsnip for example.⁠

I usually serve courgetti with a simple pesto made using parsley, pumpkin seeds, and a good-quality olive oil. Really nutritious and a total winner with kids of all ages (link is in my bio).⁠

BLW FIRST FOOD - SWEET POTATO & CHEESY PUFF BITES 🍠🧀👶🏻. This is one of the best first food recipes I have ever made. Super delicious, totally soft and perfect for babies with zero teeth.All of the ingredients used are from @dunnesstores and these little bites can be made ahead of time and frozen too!60ml water
4 tbsp butter
100g cheddar cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
70g plain flour
2 eggs
600g cooked sweet potato (pureed) 1 tsp baking powderPreheat oven to 220oC.
Combine the water and butter in a pan over a medium heat. Once the butter has started to melt, sprinkle in the cheese and stir until the cheese has fully melted into the sauce.Add the garlic powder and plain flour and stir until the the flour is fully incorporated and sticks together like a dough. Stir over the heat for about one minute to allow the flour to cook. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before beating in the eggs.Stir in the sweet potato and baking powder until the mixture is smooth and silky.Take a baking tray lined with parchment paper, then using a spoon or small ice cream scoop, divide the mixture into baby sized portions, roughly 1 tablespoon per portion.Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown, then leave to cool fully before serving.Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 5 days, or freeze for a quick handy finger food.#babyledfeeding #babyledweaning #blwideas #blwinspiration #blwrecipes #blwmenu #blwbaby #weaningideas #weaningbaby #weaning #firstfoods #weaningjourney #babyledweaning6months #firstfood
