Baby Led Weaning Turkey Stuffing Muffins Christmas Dinner
I don’t think I have ever been as excited to share a recipe as I am today! I had come up with this recipe last year but I didn’t get it out in time so I have been sitting on it for an entire YEAR! Can you image how hard that has been for me! But, today I finally get to press the magic publish button.
The idea of these little muffins just makes me so happy, they are perfectly loaded with the goodness of veggies, turkey and stuffing and they just say Christmas dinner to me in every single way. They are also the perfect finger food for your baby led weaning friendly Christmas dinner and I guarantee you everyone will be eating them from babies to Grandads and Granny’s.
This recipe turned out to be so brilliant that I made these muffins again the following week and again last week and they are all devoured! The best thing about these muffins is the kids LOVED them especially Oscar.
Make ahead and Freeze – Easy Christmas
Because I was recipe testing, I bought some free-range turkey breasts which I cut into cubes, covered with tin foil and roasted for about 30 minutes until it was cooked. This is super handy if you want to make these muffins ahead of time and pack up your freezer with some healthy Christmas baby led weaning recipe. It is always great to be able to reach in and grab something nutritious for those busy days…like Christmas day.
Leftover Turkey Recipe (a reason to buy a bigger turkey)
These muffins are the perfect reason to buy a bigger turkey and the nicest leftover turkey recipe you are ever going to try (challenge on!).
This recipe is hefty; it makes 12 regular (24 mini) sized muffins, so gather your whole family ‘round for a savory, delicious holiday meal…again! Obviously, you want to use your leftover turkey and don’t let one morsel go to waste! The dark turkey meat is also better for your baby as it has more vitamin and mineral content than white meat.
All of the ingredients in this leftover turkey recipe are inexpensive and easily available. No crazy produce that you won’t know where to find, and it’s all available in-store.
