Maybe even with a sip of mulled wine and a mince pie!
Christmas Finger Vegetables
With so many winter vegetables around, its worth saying you can start your baby on finger food from 6 months and you can actually totally skip the mushing, pureeing, and head straight onto ‘big people’ food. So, roast those Christmas veggies until they are lovely and soft, steam broccoli, slow cook meat until really tender. I like to cut all of my veggies into spears. It makes the food super easy to handle. Please remember you MUST be able to squash a food between your finger and thumb to ensure it is 100% safe for your baby.
Christmas Finger Foods Ideas

1. Cranberry and Orange Christmas Muffins.
For baby led weaning muffins are just brilliant! They can be made well ahead of time and the best part is that they freeze. So make lots, freeze and the night before you (or Santa Claus) wants to eat them you can remove from the freezer to defrost. We like ours a little warm so heat in the oven for about 5 minutes at 180ºC.

2. Healthy After Eights.
As a child I always remember Christmas treats being – a tin of Danish Butter Biscuits and a box of After Eights. It was really the only time of the year my parents bought either and both the tin and the box were always opened on Christmas day after dinner, usually while watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Heres my take and they are AMAZING!!

3. Healthy Gingerbread.
If there was one smell that says ‘It’s Christmas’ it would definitely be gingerbread. Whether it be cookies, bread or making gingerbread houses, that smell wafting through my house is the start of the season for me. I also am a stickler for healthy eating so my aim was to create a super healthy Christmas recipe that would taste 1) amazing (of course) and 2) trick everyone to think they are having a treat while I’m secretly nourishing them with goodness.

4.Low Sugar Baby Mince Pies.
One of my very first recipe for Baby Led Feeding and one that I now make every single year. These mince pies I think are one of my favourite Christmas finger food ideas ever! The pastry melts in your mouth and the fruit filling contains only fruit! Not a spoonful of sugar or suet in sight!

Cinnamon Roasted Butternut Squash is one of my all-time favorites, especially sprinkled with tart and tasty cranberries—talk about the holiday spirit! If you’re on the hunt for baby led weaning side dishes to tote along for Thanksgiving dinner, this is definitely one you’ll want to save. These cauliflower cheese egg muffins are perfect for giving kids a veggie loaded breakfast, snack or light meal. If your kiddos’ fall into the ‘picky’ by nature club then, by all means, keep these muffins plain, the cauliflower pretty much disappears.
