Easy Cinnamon Rolls - NO YEAST! The Best Recipe for Cinnamon Rolls
If you’re a Mom with kids, you know how important it is to have quick and easy recipes on hand for those times when you need to whip up something sweet and delicious for a special treat. Well, look no further, because we’ve got the perfect recipe for you! The dough of these Easy Cinnamon Rolls is made with just 2 ingredients (yes, you read that right!) and then topped with a low sugar cream cheese frosting that will satisfy your sweet tooth without going overboard on the sugar.

How to make this Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
To make these delicious cinnamon rolls, you’ll need bread flour and natural yogurt. That’s it! The bread flour gives the rolls a nice, soft texture, while the natural yogurt adds a little bit of tanginess and helps to keep these rolls so soft and fluffy.

To start, mix together 2 cup of bread flour and 2 cups of natural yogurt in a bowl until it forms a smooth, sticky dough. If the dough is too dry, you can add a little more yogurt, a tablespoon at a time, until it comes together. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour, a tablespoon at a time, until it reaches the desired consistency.
Once your dough is mixed, dust a clean surface with a little more bread flour and roll the dough out into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

To make the cinnamon butter, mix together butter with a little maple syrup and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. You can adjust the amount of sugar and cinnamon to your taste – feel free to add a little more or less, depending on how sweet you like your cinnamon rolls.
Spread all of the cinnamon butter over the top of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Next, roll the dough up tightly, starting at the long edge, to form a long, cylindrical shape. Slice the roll into 1-inch thick pieces and place them, cut side up, in a lightly buttered baking dish.
Bake the rolls in a preheated 180ºC/350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are lightly golden brown.

While the rolls are baking, you can prepare the low sugar cream cheese frosting. To make the frosting, beat together cream cheese (or I used mascarpone), 1 tablespoon of (icing sugar) confectioners’ sugar, and the zest and juice of a clementine in a medium bowl until smooth. Again, you can adjust the amount of sugar to your taste – add a little more if you like your frosting sweeter, or omit it altogether if you prefer a tangier frosting.
Once the rolls are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool before frosting. Then, spread the cream cheese frosting over the top of the rolls and sprinkle with a little bit of orange zest for a refreshing citrus twist.
Serve the cinnamon rolls warm, with a glass of milk or a steaming mug of coffee (for Mommas). These easy cinnamon rolls are sure to become a family favorite – in fact, you might want to double the recipe and freeze some for later!
So next time you’re looking for a quick and easy recipe for cinnamon rolls, give this one a try. With just 2 ingredients for the dough and a low sugar cream cheese frosting, it’s a low sugar treat that the whole family will love. Happy baking!

- 125 g 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 tbsp icing sugar
- Zest and Juice clementine
