Can Babies Eat Corn?
Corn on the cob is an amazing first food for baby-led weaning. It is really safe if served in the right way. Corn on the cob is one of my favorite finger foods for baby led weaning. It is super easy for your baby to pick up and put in their mouth, it helps to develop hand-eye coordination. Make sure the corn is cooked properly and there are no loose pieces. For smaller babies, loose corn is a choking hazard but on the cob it is really safe.
How to adapt this recipe and serve to baby 6 – 9 Months
Boil corn until soft and cooked fully. To serve to your baby, leave the corn whole, add the spices and sear on a pan. Serve with the sauce and cheese.
Serving Corn to Baby 12 Months
Cut the corn into quarters and serve as per the recipe. The corn is still very much attached to the cob and your little one will have to work to get it off the cob. This is a great recipe for for toddlers and older children as is.
